To help everyone out on the short timeline, I have included the detailed steps to register for the course below. If anyone needs any support with registration, please don't hesitate to reach out.

1. Complete Your Prerequisites on the World Rugby Passport Site: This course has a number of free, online prerequisites that you will need to complete before being able to register for the course. I've included the list of prerequisites and links directly to those modules below:

  • World Rugby Rugby Ready
  • World Rugby Concussion Management for the General Public
  • World Rugby Laws of the Game
  • World Rugby Intro to Match Officiating (Pre-Level 1)

2. Access the Rugby Canada Training Site: Trainees will need to have an account on the Rugby Canada Training Site to register for the course. If you already have an account, please log in with your existing credentials so that you do not have to re-pay the $25 account setup fee (this fee is collected directly by Rugby Canada and we, Sask Rugby, have no say in it). You can access the Rugby Canada Training Site at https://training.rugbycanada.ca/.

3. Upload Your Prerequisite Certificates to the Training Site: Once logged in, go to your Status page (top menu) , find the Level 1 Match Official section. If you click "begin" beside one of the prerequisite modules, it will take you to the Session page where you will be prompted to upload your prerequisite certificates. Be sure to upload all 4 certificates.

4. Complete Course Registration: Once your certificates are uploaded, you can go to the Clinics page and you should see a button prompting you to "Register" for the course beside the course name. You can then click that button and complete the registration. If you attempt to register before uploading your prerequisite certificates you will see a "missing prerequisites" prompt instead of the "Register" button (which will take you to the previous step if clicked).
